TB-200 News

On October 1st, Landfill Service Corporation introduced their new Posi-Shell Mobile Demonstrator Units. The first unit was introduced on the West Coast by Glenn Becker, Landfill Service's Western Regional Manager. Additional units will soon be delivered to our other regional managers throughout the country. The Posi-Shell Demonstrator Units can apply 2000-3000 sq. ft. of Posi-Shell per load directly on trash or areas requiring erosion control.

"What used to take weeks to schedule and orchestrate, now can literally be done in a couple of hours" says Landfill Service Director of Sales & Marketing, Jerry Gaube. Landfill Service expects these units will enable them to triple the amount of demonstrations they did last year. "The demand for Posi-Shell has grown significantly, our units will help us meet this demand".

The Posi-Shell Cover System is a spray applied, cement mortar coating, similar to stucco, that is used as landfill daily cover, intermediate cover, soil erosion and odor control.

Managing Leachate With Posi-Shell

"Previously, before we used Posi-Shell, we experienced leachate breakouts associated with what now is known to be the almost 1 foot of daily cover placed after each day's waste receipts. Using Posi-Shell allows the leachate we recirculate to penetrate deeper and eventually make its way to the liner quicker and does not tend to migrate laterally towards the edge of our slopes. This is a great product benefit."
